Tribute bands are not just about sounding like their famous counterparts. They need to capture the spirit of the real article. The Tonic's passion for their love of 50’s and 60’s style music comes across to the audience who are always left with the impression that the band is having a great time too.
The band, as musicians, has researched the instruments used, the suits worn and their parts musically, to ensure the music era is represented as accurately as possible. This has no doubt helped them to sustain their level of bookings at theatres and holiday camps as well as private and corporate functions.
Chris handles the lead vocals, an excellent vibrant front man whose personality is infused with his love of Blues, Beatles and Soul. His enjoyment of the stage will always shine through. Drawing on his experience in rock and blues bands Chris deftly combines soulful guitar work with a vocal approach that belies his 60s influences.
Mark is lead guitar and he holds a wide knowledge base of guitars, amps and musicianship accurately recreating guitar sounds and can play many styles which precisely replicate his influences.
Dave is a top professional drummer who holds vast experience for any given situation. Amongst his many theatre shows, he has recently toured with the tribute show to Roy Orbison ‘In Dreams’ and ‘Knocking on Heavens Door’ and is a superb asset to the band.
Clayton has extensive knowledge of playing in bands covering many genres. His forte is jazz double bass. He has supported names such as the Ted Heath Big Band, The Beverley Sisters and toured the UK with the successful shows 'A tribute to ELVIS' as well as ‘Let The Good Times Roll’
